Girls' Weekend

At the beginning of February I had a little weekend in Florida with my best friend (way back from grade school years!). We have both been huge Harry Connick, Jr. fans since high school and decided we would attend a concert in Naples, FL and spend a couple days relaxing and being away from all our adult responsibilities.

Mike got us an amazing stay at the Marriott in Sannibel Harbour. It was absolutely beautiful and exactly what we were looking for to have a relaxing weekend!

We had a room with a balcony overlooking the ocean where I spent quite a bit of time on Sunday relaxing by myself before heading back to the frigid north!

The pool areas were really nice, though the beach was non-existent and the actual ocean water left a lot to be desired in color. But there was a little bar area to order drinks and we didn't even have to walk up there - just raised a flag on our chairs and the waitresses came over. Lunch and drinks each day by the pool and we barely lifted a finger. It was a treat!

Friday night we drove to Naples and saw Harry in concert. It was a fantastic concert. He brought along some amazing musicians and did a huge assortment of music from his many albums. We had fun!

Saturday night we had a little pizza dinner and drinks out on the balcony of one of the many hotel restaurants and caught an amazing sunset.

It was a super weekend of pure relaxation. Thanks, Mike for letting us use up your Marriott points and thanks, Melissa for a memorable girls' getaway!
