Last night we headed to the mall for free Ben & Jerry's ice cream cone day. Over our treat, I commented to Jake that the Twins had signed Joe Mauer and he would be in Minnesota for awhile. Jake was really happy to hear that.
The rest of the conversation went like this:
Mike: Jake, they signed him for $184 million for 8 years.
Kerry: That's $23 million per year!
[Jake's eyes get really wide and his smile gets huge.]
Jake: That's what I'm going to do when I get older! Then I can buy a Wii and all sorts of games!!!
Mike: You do that. But don't forget your parents.
Jake: Yeah. I'll let you play too.
